2006-04-17 [smakeupfx]: As Louis Armstrong once said..."if you's have ta ask, ya ain't never gonna know" hehehe
2006-04-17 [Trennas]: thats like one of those things you hang in your bathroom :p
2006-04-17 [Saray]: You mean a tile?
2006-04-17 [Trennas]: more or less:p
2006-04-17 [smakeupfx]: thought you meant women were more fun to hang in the bathroom than men
2006-04-17 [Saray]: That would be an ugly sight, unless you like bodysuspension :P
2006-04-17 [smakeupfx]: hahaha, well, I have a friend on LiveJournal who's really into that, great photos too http://www.cir
2006-04-17 [Saray]: Ouch, looks painful!
2006-04-18 [Nyaah*]: nice gallery!
2006-04-18 [Trennas]: a bit odd though XD
2006-04-18 [irulan]: I found that corset one you mentioned, um OW!! He does have a lot of really nice, non-make-you-w

2006-04-19 [Trennas]: dont worry, hoo-hoo's can be distracting :p
2006-04-19 [smakeupfx]: Some are more distracting than others ;-)
2006-04-19 [Trennas]: are you speaking from experience? :p
2006-04-19 [Saray]: Hmm, do I smell a conspiracy?!?!
2006-04-20 [Yuriona]: Nice!! XD So are you willing to set up other tutorials too? *poke, poke*
2006-04-20 [Trennas]: you know, the poking part really disturbed me there:p
2006-04-20 [Perplexity]: I bet Yuri pokes -hard- too... and with a very pointy stick.
2006-04-20 [Trennas]: *needs therapy*
2006-04-20 [smakeupfx]: LOL... yall are nutters ;-) What kind of tutorials are you interested in [Yuriona]?
2006-04-20 [Yuriona]: I'd love to know how you made those 1/5th scale weapons. Those are amazing!
2006-04-20 [Yuriona]: And I don't use a stick! I use a BIG carrot. ;)
2006-04-20 [Trennas]: yuri, in the workshop, with the carrot.. :p
2006-04-20 [smakeupfx]: hahaha, yeah, in my experience... size matters ;-) oh the swords were pretty easy, many are cut out of aluminium sheets or bars that i bought at the Hardware store. I drew out the design I wanted and used a grinder and then my Dremil to get the shape close. To get them shinny, I used little files to get the bevels, round files to carve the groves down the middles, and finally nail polish files and polishing pads to buff them to a high gloss. All the hilts are made by putting MagicSculpt epoxy putty on the swords and then sanding and filling them. I painted with plain old liqutex. See, easy as pie :-)
2006-04-20 [Yuriona]: Easier said than done I bet. ;) Must have been tricky working with aluminum sheets. Sheet metal cuts like razors!
2006-04-20 [smakeupfx]: it just took time, my first few took forever, but I got really fast by the end of the run LOL
2006-04-20 [smakeupfx]: Oh, I used aluminum that was pretty thick, and it isn't nearly as sharp edged as stainless steal or copper. it's soft and easy to work
2006-04-21 [Yuriona]: True enough. ^^ I'm more familiar steel sheets and that stuff is evil to handle unless you're wearing heavy gloves.
2006-04-29 [Wunjo*]: *nods* I saw a Special on the t.v. about this a few months ago! It really interested me so partly taped it.=) I wonder if i could do the same with chocolate.. *_~
2006-04-30 [smakeupfx]: a show on minitures? chocolate? tiny swords? cool either way, i wanna see it :-)
2006-04-30 [Trennas]: haah chocolate tiny swords ^^ *imagines mini pirates with chocolate swords going* swish! swoosh! munch!:p
2006-04-30 [Trennas]: nope.. none whatsoever:p
2006-04-30 [Saray]: CHOCOLATE?!?!?
2006-04-30 [smakeupfx]: hehehe, when both your sculpts are done, I'll have to cast them in chocolate... tis only right ;-)
